Why do I see a graphics driver error when installing the V2 SDK?

If you’re installing the Leap Motion V2 SDK software on Windows you may see this error:

You can safely continue with the installation without issue. Please click ignore to complete the installation.

What’s happening here is that our older V2 software doesn’t recognise the contemporary drivers that you are using. This error is simply trying to make sure that you’re not running a very old graphics card.

There’s also a known compatibility issue with the V2 software on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. It’s related to Microsoft’s changing of how imaging devices are handled. See this help center article for more information.
